Scandal abuse of Facebook data by political consultant Cambridge Analytica long tail. After announcing that there are 87 million data Facebook users around the world who become victims, Facebook will be boycotted.

The protesters who joined in Faceblock invite everyone to protest by not using the application Facebook , Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram for 24 hours.
Faceblock campaign spokeswoman Laura Ullman said his group was so concerned with personal data and how a company should comply with regulations related to personal data.
"We are organizing a live action that involves a lot of Facebook lovers but wants the platform to tidy up by not using the entire day's Facebook platform, it's an easy virtual demonstration as well as delivering an important message that we demand a better platform ," Ullman said.
Ullman explains, he chose a protest against Facebook held just as Mark Zuckerberg gave an explanation in front of the US Congress.
"It is the responsibility of Facebook to improve their platform, but it is also the government's responsibility to ensure that social media companies protect user data and implement regulations," he said.

Some users have previously considered deleting their Facebook accounts permanently.
However, according to Ullman, it is not possible for everyone, let alone still many who like Facebook and other platforms owned by Facebook.
"Not everyone is planning to remove Facebook so far Facebook has created a monopoly and in some countries, the only attempt to access the internet is via Facebook, in fact, in some places, news sources often only come from Facebook," he said.
According to Ullman, Facebook is also a platform to organize the community.
"So why do people have to suffer because of bad policies from the company? Why should they stop engaging with the community because the company has not been properly regulated and misusing the trust of its users?" Ullman said.
According to Ullman, one should not be forced to quit his role in the community, but the error is on Facebook.
Ullman also invites anyone to join Faceblock via # faceblock tag and send a message to Zuckerberg as well as to the government.

In its official statement, Facebook disclose information from approximately 87 million users have been used improperly by the political consulting firm, Cambridge Analytica.
Most of the data is Facebook users in the United States (US), and Indonesia also includes the three major victims.
A total of 70.6 million misused accounts are from the US, the Philippines is second with 1.2 million and Indonesia with 1 million accounts. Of the total number of abusive accounts, 1.3 percent are the property of users in Indonesia.
Other countries that are also victims are Britain, Mexico, Canada, India, Brazil, Vietnam and Australia. However, Facebook claimed not to know the details of the data taken and the exact number of accounts that become victims.
"In total, we believe information from 87 million people on Facebook, mostly in the US, has been improperly shared with Cambridge Analytica," Facebook wrote in its official statement on Thursday (5/4/2018).
Responding to the matter, the Minister of Communications and Informatics (Menkominfo) Rudiantara said it was not hesitate to close up when handling related hoaks not also done seriously.
The decision, according to Rudiantara, can not be separated from the recognition of Facebook related cases of violence in Rohingnya, Myanmar. For information, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently claimed to have found an attempt to cloud the atmosphere on Rohingnya through its platform.
"I took a position and have no qualms about closing up if the platform becomes part of this hoax deployment, we do not want it as it did in Rohingnya," he said when met by media crews at the office of Kemkominfo.
